A good stretch of the Tyne is available for fishing at Wylam. The main fish are dace and roach with the chance of a chub.
Head away from Newcastle on the A69. Turn left after Throckley on the B6528 sign posted Heddon-on-the-Wall. Straight over the crossroads and turn left for Wylam after around 2 miles.
